Stitch your own cigarette packet clutch purse!

You will receive 1 x cigarette clutch canvas to stitch (the finished canvas is for reference only).

Fabric: 12 count Zweigart Interlock canvas

Finish: Hand painted

Design size: 89 x 177 stitches 18.5cm (7.5") x 37cm (14.5")

Canvas size: 28cm (11") x 48cm (19")

Each coloured square = 1 half stitch/tent stitch but you can add your own decorative stitches instead like I did.

My original is 12 count interlock needlepoint canvas stitched with 8 ply (double knit) yarn.

Finished size when folded as a clutch is 19cm (7.5") wide x 12cm (5") high.

Please note this canvas DOES NOT include instructions on how to needlepoint. There are many free stitching tutorials online if you would like to learn.

I paint these to order so please allow a few days extra.

PLEASE NOTE: Finishing instructions ARE NOT included with the canvas but here is what I did...

  1. Trimmed the excess canvas around the design leaving approx 2cm (3/4“).
  2. Folded the excess canvas inwards and pressed edges firmly with my hands.
  3. Tacked it in place using embroidery thread.
  4. Cut a piece of felt the same size as the canvas then pinned it to the wrong side of canvas.
  5. Blanket stitched the felt on, around the entire edge.
  6. Then folded the canvas into 3 and ladder stitched the ‘Smoking Kills’ section to the back to form the purse pocket.

Shipping:
Your canvas will be sent flat and will be well packaged using recycled materials.
Please note, I am shipping from New Zealand, so keep that in mind when looking at shipping times and costs.
